Is was almost 20 years ago...can't believe so much time has passed. I
accidentally twisted and broke my door key and got locked outside my
own home. It was in front of my old rental apartment, big heavy door,
with one ancient cylinder lock, that was always a problem to open.
You'd have to really pray every time you inserted the key that it won't
get all jammed up in there...
It surely did! I tried everything I could think of - till it came to
me...I called a locksmith. One look at the door, one short glance my
way - a tired old "locked out, ha?" and 5 minutes afterwards - he
picked my lock and set me free. As he was gathering his locksmith tools
- I approached him and asked him about the locksmith business - he gave
me a short brief of the trade, a couple of advice to get started in it
- if I was interested. To make a short story shorter, I'm a locksmith
now - and it's a blast!

funny story dude - made me think of why I got in the locksmith and
security business in the first place...
it all started with me at 21 - no direction whatsoever...i didn't earn
nearly enough to go to college - nor did i get any help from my
parents. back then I did wanna go to school like half my friends - i
decided ill take a part time job some place - make enough money to
cover my tuition - this friend of mine just got out of this silly
little locksmith course and asked me if I'd like to open up a locksmith
biz with him - said he would teach me all e knew (believe me it wasn't
much..half these locksmith training school are scams) - anyways since i
didn't have anything else going on - i accepted. 10 years went by and
even though i can pay for almost any kind of studies - im content being
a professional locksmith - i take pride at what i do...
well- got a little carried away here - later
