There are some birthdays to celebrate among New York's grocery cooperatives:

GreenStar, here in Ithaca, had it's annual meeting last week and released this video chronicling their 50 year history, starting in 1971.
Lexington Co-op in Buffalo is also turning 50 this year; they made this video a few years back.

As far as I know, in New York State only Niskayuna Co-op is older, formed in 1943.
