More facts about the heated election for Newtown Township supervisor. Please forward to anyone who is interested in knowing the truth.

I am big on truth and that is why I have worked so hard to expose many of the lies from our local leaders. I knew this election would be especially heated but I never thought I would hear one side using the oldest trick in the book by saying his opponent will raise taxes. Many of you may have gotten such a postcard attached to your mailbox today. The truth is NEITHER CANDIDATE PROPOSES TO RAISE YOUR TAXES!! And another truth that is not being said by the accuser is that the portion of your local taxes controlled by the Newtown Supervisors is just 2%. The other 98% goes to the County and the School District. Complain to your School Board (which controls 81% of your tax bill) or your County Commissioners (who control 17%) if you feel taxes are too high. The average Township tax bill per household is $200 per year.

What else the same about both candidates? BOTH CANDIDATES WANT TO STOP OVERDEVELOPMENT and make sure we preserve what little open space is left.

So what is the real difference between the candidates? Their backgrounds and qualifications. I have summarized them in the chart below. I also encourage you to check out websites for both candidates which I have pasted below.

I hope we don't see more lies. It is especially disturbing when it comes from someone I know and who has some degree of integrity but apparently is willing to say anything to get elected.

Keeping you informed,
