What do YOU think about the DUI arrest of Newtown Supervisor Mike Gallagher

Newtown residents,

 

I'm taking an informal poll regarding Tuesday night's arrest of Newtown Township Supervisor Mike Gallagher who serves as Chairman of the Board of Supervisors. He actually chaired Wednesday night's meeting without anyone else on the Board even being aware of his arrest. He could have at least informed his fellow supervisor's privately.

Personally, I don't judge Mike for making a mistake..albeit a big one. What disturbs me is his arrogant attitude towards the police officer. It confirms to me the abuse of power some local leaders have felt they can away with. I consider him, along with Rob Ciervo, to be self-serving and disingenuous. I was outraged when Gallagher and Ciervo lied to voters in order to get elected in 2007. I may send something on that separately for you to read.

 

In the meantime, reply back and let me know what you think. Should Mike resign or not??
