ALL LANES RT 206 CLOSED NEAR CHURCH ST DUE TO ACCIDENT

North and Southbound traffic on Main Street, SR 206, near the intersection of Church Street by the Hill Memorial Museum are being diverted due to a single vehicle crash into a utility pole that took place at approximately 5:00 AM.  JCP&L is on scene replacing the pole and reconnecting power lines.  Newton Police are being assisted by the NJ State Police Incident Management Unit and the NJDOT Traffic Diversion Team.  Newton Fire Department and Atlantic Ambulance also responded to the crash.  Repairs are expected to take several hours; motorists are advised to plan alternate routes.
