There's a new cafe and bakery in Halstead called Kaleo Cafe & Bakery
(http://www.facebook.com/pages/Kaleo-Cafe-and-Bakery/
180301565324241). It's a nice place that has good "gourmet" food,
serves alcohol and desserts, and stays open late on Friday and
Saturday nights.

How many would be entertained with the idea of a leisurely ride over
on Friday evening (sand roads to keep it safe with a slower pace) for
a light supper and drinks before heading back to Newton? Lights would
be needed for the return trip but it could be a nice, regular ride
during the summer. The roads to and from are either 1st Street or SW
36th. I've ridden both and they're smooth. Mountain, cruiser and
cross tires would be good. 23cm road tires would be okay as there's
no big gravel but there are washboards.

Sounds like fun, even though I don't  drink, that shouldn't stop anyone else. I am out of town this next weekend for my ride in Colorado. What kind of prices would dinner run us there? The last part of the link is not (the numbers) does not work. Try copy and pasting the link. I looked at the pics and it looks really cool.
