wheneverI press "play", the game goes to boot, it's alright for the first forge phase (constructing mods), but during the second one (initialising mods - phase 1), it stops aat Quark and crashes back to the launcher.

the following error is displayed:

"The game crashed whilst there was a severe problem during mod loading that has caused the game to fail

Error: net.minecraftforge.fml.common.LoaderExceptionModCrash: Caught exception from Quark (quark)

exit code: -1"

adarsh I know, that's what I wanted to do. however I cannot acces the in-game config because it's crashing before I can disable it. I went into the config file and switched the "true" to "false" but that didn't fix the issue, and it's still crashing because of "chickensshedfeathers"

It sounds a bit like one of your other mods still comes with old Quark support logic, attempting to access Java classes that are no longer where it expects them to be. The mod in question likely is Ice and Fire.

Same thing happened when downloading the 510 drivers from the ubuntu additional drivers repo. I had started out using the 470 drivers. Everything was working fine except that I couldn't use my nvidia Geforce 1030 graphics card as an encoder for OBS. I checked the Nvidia drivers webpage and found that there were more up to date drivers available, namely the 510. I installed it through the Ubuntu software and updates "additional drivers" tab and thought everything was okay. I tried running minecraft but couldn't get past the initial loading page in the launcher before the computer crashed. I rebooted and tried again a few times to no avail. I tried switching back to the 470 driver through the same means as earlier, which resulted in a system program error message pop up. I cancelled the report problem prompt and then cancelled the driver install process then rebooted the computer again. On boot, after an ubuntu loading screen that usually only pops up during updates then a scrolling screen of commands, a command prompt popped up with the previous line saying,

" /dev/(4 charateres, first one was a d the third was a 2, cannot remember the rest) :Clean big number/ bigger number Files big number/ bigger number (i think this one said Programs) ".

After a few seconds it disappeared and brought me to the login screen as per usual, except the system no longer had a graphics driver in use and each time I attempted to install either the 470 or the 510, the system program error would pop up along with another prompt that told me something was wrong with the dpkg and to run "dpkg --configure -a" to fix it. I did so then tried to install again only to receive another error message stating "pk-client-error-quark: Error while installing package : 1.1494 (313)".

The following packages have been unpacked but not yet configured.

They must be configured using dpkg --configure or the configure

menu option in dselect for them to work:

libnvidia-compute-470:i386 NVIDIA libcompute package

I installed the 510 driver and it worked. I rebooted the computer and tried accessing nvidia-settings and everything seems to be in order until I tried to run minecraft again. Just as before, on start up in the launcher page, the computer crashes. Is this a Nvidia problem at this point or Ubuntu?

After hitting the play button on the game launcher, it starts loading like usual until it trys to bring up the actual game window, at which point my screen goes black for a few seconds before bringing me back to the computer log in screen. After log in I receive a system error message that asks if I want to send a report in. I can recreate the crash if you can tell me how to check the logs.

Quark is a fully modular minecraft mod, named after the subatomic particle. In simpler terms, it's a large mod with lots of small features, aimed at improving the vanilla game.Every feature can be turned on and off individually at your will, and most features contain further options to tweak the game just how you like it.

With quark installed, the title screen will get a new "q" button added to it. This button allows you to configure quark from inside the game, so you can easily turn off any features you don't vibe with.

- Added Spiral Spires and Myalite Crystals to the end.

- Fixed another item dupe with the right clicking armor.

- Fixed blue nether brick slabs, stairs, and walls, not being craftable in the crafting table.

- Fixed crash with PenumaticCraft, hopefully

- Fixed quark worldgen features and placements not being registered, which could break other mods. (TelepathicGrunt)

- Fixed some models being incorrectly mirrored. (muzikbike)

- Fixed vertical slab tags not being in items. (mrh0)

- Shallow dirt can no longer hold water if it's not surrounded by other blocks.

- Shift-right clicking armor in a container will now place it in the appropriate location rather than equip it.

- Added structures from Repurposed Structures to the default variant chests config. (BugmanBugman)

- Added the ability to right click armor inside the inventory to swap it with the one you have equipped.

- Exposed the ingame config system to the API, allowing other mods to hook into it and add their own configs to the q menu.

- Fixed reacharound working in adventure mode and through spawn protection.

- Fixed snow bricks using a pickaxe instead of shovel.

- Fixed the backpack screen breaking other mods' buttons (F43nd1r)

- General Settings in the q menu now shows a * when changed.

- Items from Oddities now have an extra line in the tooltip if Oddities isn't enabled.

- Changed some internals regarding registry calls.

- Fixed the Weather Detector having a name that mismatches with the vanilla one.

- The trowel can now use reacharound, and so can any other modded items that add in the new tag.

- Fixed mossy cobblestone bricks not being craftable with the stonecutter.

- Fixed a typo in the config restrictions not allowing the "the_end" biome to be read, which caused big dungeons to spawn in the end. You have to reload the part of the config to fix the issue in your end.

- Added a recipe to smelt bones into bone meal

- Added Wooden Posts

- Fixed client/server desync when using horizontal reacharound

- Fixed shingles having incorrect map colors (pau101)

- Mega caves are now a bit smarter when generating, so as to not expose themselves to the sky and handle liquids properly (TelepathicGrunt)

- Added the ability to tie leads to fences and paper lanterns
