The Resolute Support mission remains focused on defeating the insurgents in Afghanistan, the commander of the mission said yesterday following a terrorist bombing in Kabul. "Today’s attack once again demonstrates that the enemies of Afghanistan kill indiscriminately," U.S. Army Gen. John W. Nicholson said in a statement. "Unarmed civilians throughout Afghanistan regularly bear the brunt of this cruelty.” Nicholson said the terrorists care nothing for the people of Afghanistan.
The Afghan government and Afghan National Defense and security forces are working tirelessly to defend all Afghans and respond to these attacks with bravery and professionalism, he said. "As our thoughts turn to the family and friends of those killed and injured at this time, we will also go forward and do our best work in their memory - defeating the insurgents and bringing peace to this region," Nicholson said.
The explosives were hidden in an ambulance and nearly 100 people were killed in the attack.
Operation Resolute Support is a NATO-led train, advise and assist mission consisting of over 13,000 U.S. and foreign troops troops in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, which began on Jan. 1, 2015. It is a follow-on mission to the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF), which was completed on Dec. 28, 2014.

Trump and Haley say PA is an obstacle to peace

Centered menorah surrounded by two olive branches
U.S. President Donald Trump and U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley have said the Palestinian Authority is an obstacle to peace. A firm new American policy on the Middle East is taking form, and the Palestinians risk being left out in the cold.
Christian nuns in Bethlehem are being subjected to violence, yet the mainstream media remains silent. The media is all over any Israeli slight against Christians, so why do they ignore persecution under the Palestinian Authority?
