A message to or readers:

News of the Force has been being published sporadically over the last two weeks.

Two weeks ago, I was diagnosed with bile duct cancer. Research indicates that this type of cancer is very rare and more than 98% of the cases result from having served in the Vietnam War.

Over the past seven years, I've beaten both prostate and lymph node cancer with the help of the VA, but this is extremely painful and makes me sick all the time. The VA is not going to decide what to do until this Wednesday (radiation, chemotherapy or surgery).

In addition, for the past week I have also been suffering from the new strain of flu that is going around. With my other ailments, you can imagine how sick I have been. (By the way, if you've got it, too, DayQuil seems to be the cure.) So much for the flu shot!

Through it all, we have attempted and will continue to attempt to keep publishing. Please bear with us during this critical time.

And, thanks for reading!
