News Hounds Media Digest #185
4/13/08 to 4/20/08
1. Ellen: Race-obsessed Hannity implied Obama was a
bigoted soul-mate of Farrakhan based on Obama's attendance of the 1995
Million Man March. While it's excusable and even endearing to Hannity
when white people insult black people on racial grounds, Obama
was smeared even though he specifically rejected anti-white,
anti-Semitic messages and spoke out for inclusiveness.

2. Deborah: Bill O'Reilly, promising an investigation, 4/15, claimed
that Jeremiah Wright is a hypocrite because he soon will be "living
large" in a 10,000 foot home in an " all white neighborhood'' and " no
ghetto in sight."

3. Pricilla: Forget the race card, Brit Hume engages in red-baiting.

4.
Melanie:
Last Monday, during his 60-minute show, Neil Cavuto (Fox's "business
news" anchor) aired six - that would be SIX - segments bashing
Barack Obama. Think about it -what's going on during the 23 hours a day that Fox isn't talking about "business."
Here's Brave New Films' take on it: FOX News: More Smears in 9 Minutes Than Most Media Deliver All Day.
5. Donna: This week we had a bit of nepotism
when Doocy's son asked John McCain a question that was a typical Fox question -
it put down Hillary.
6. Chris: After chastising Bob Johnson for
keeping a dopey controversey alive, O'Reilly reverted to smearing Barack Obama through his association with Jeremiah Wright. O'Reilly promised to keep it up until November,

and then Karl Rove joined in for reinforcement.

Outrageous Quote: "This, ladies and gentlemen, is ultra dangerous. Most Americans have no
idea who Soros or Brock are. They will only know what they see on TV,
smear stuff against McCain. And the pipeline extends directly to NBC
News, which will publicize every piece of slime Brock can create. Only
one word describes this: despicable." [snip] "Also, Politico and others
are reporting that Obama has an association with two former far-left
radicals, William Ayers and Bernadette Dohrn. They are members of the
Weather Underground, a violent 1960s protest group." O'Reilly's hypocrisy knows no bounds. Vote in this week's poll here:
