••  In early July, former Clinton communication director Howard Wolfson joined Fox "News" as a "Fox News Contributor."  He told the Washington Post at the time  that "It's critically important for strong progressives to be talking to and offering analysis to that audience."  Agreed, but  get with it Howard.  You bomb at being a "strong progressive," much less a Democrat.  You sound more like a Republican and I say that's why Fox hired you.

••  On Friday the Republicans staged a "revolt" on the House floor, "demanding" a vote on off-shore drilling even though that was impossible because Democrats had left the building.  C-SPAN was dark too so how were the Republicans going to let it be known that they were working on behalf of "the folks?"  Why, none other than Fox, er, GOPTV arranged to slide a producer with a camera onto the floor to broadcast the shenanigans live.  The first time in the history of the country that that's ever been done.  Shows how important this drilling spin is to the GOP.

Priscilla: Brit Hume, in attempting to show bad, partisan behavior and lack of journalistic ethics on the part of minority (African Americans in this case) journalists, used a quote from Ernest Suggs,Vice President of the National Association of Black Journalists in last night's "Grapevine." But he neglected to mention that this organization just conferred Fox News with the honor of being one of the 2008 recipients of their Thumbs Down Award.
