_REGISTERING A BUSINESS BECOMES EASIER IN PRINCETON_

_PRINCETON, B.C. -- A One-Stop Business Registration (OSBR) centre
means area entrepreneurs will encounter less red tape when registering
new businesses and dealing with government._

"The centre gives the entrepreneur a quick and easy way to deal with
federal and provincial government agencies when starting a business,"
said _Ron J. Duhamel, Secretary of State for Western Economic
Diversification_. "The business community has identified red tape as
an obstacle to jobs and growth. The federal-provincial _OSBR_
initiative saves business people time and money by streamlining the
registration process."

The new centre, located at the government agents office at 151
Vermilion Avenue, will mean entrepreneurs can register their
businesses with the necessary federal and provincial government
agencies at one time and at one location. There are now 17 One-Stop
Business Registration centres in communities across British Columbia
in a partnership between _Western Economic Diversification Canada_ and
the _B.C. Ministry of Small Business, Tourism and Culture_.

"British Columbians are leading the country in starting small business
enterprises that create jobs and contribute to our healthy economy,"
said _Small Business Minister Ian Waddell_. "We also lead the country
in self-employment and, by reducing red tape and paperwork, we
continue to make it easier for British Columbians to go into
business."

One-Stop Business Registration simplifies and streamlines the number
of government forms involved with registering a new business in
British Columbia. Businesses can register with _Revenue Canada_, the
provincial _Registrar of Companies_, _Workers Compensation Board_ and
the provincial _Finance Ministry_.
