Cleveland Indians -- Optioned infielder Russell Branyan and
pitcher Jason Rakers to Akron of the Eastern League (AA), and
infielder Richie Sexson and outfielder Bruce Aven to Buffalo of
the International League (AAA); reassigned catcher Heath Hayes

Detroit Tigers -- Announced the resignation of director of
