Here's the latest from the UPI Sports Desk.

The Wizards wave a magic wand against the Magic. The Washington
Wizards rode Rod Strickland's third triple-double of the season to an
88-85 win at home over the Orlando Magic.

Washington, which won two straight at MCI Center, inched within 1/2
game of idle New Jersey for the last playoff spot in the Eastern
Conference. Strickland had 21 points, 11 rebounds, and, 13 assists.

Other winners were Chicago, Utah, Seattle, Sacramento, Boston,
Philadelphia, Indiana, Minnesota, the Los Angeles Lakers, and,
Cleveland.

Some basketball camps are not cheap these days. For example, it costs
$15,000 to attend one by Michael Jordan of the Bulls so you can try to
``be like Mike.'' The catch is to attend, you have to be at least 35
years old. Jordan said in a news release that campers should be ready to
learn, work hard, and, play hard.

Travis Green scored his second goal of the third period to pull the
Mighty Ducks of Anaheim into a 3-3 tie with the Calgary Flames. Winners
were New Jersey, the New York Rangers, Florida, and, Ottawa.

Curt Schilling outpitched Greg Maddux in a showdown of two of the top
pitchers in baseball as the Philadelphia Phillies got by the Atlanta
Braves, 2-1.

Schilling struck out 15. Scott Rolen knocked in the winning run with
a sacrifice fly in the eighth inning. Also winning in the NL were
Arizona, Houston, Chicago, San Diego, New York, Milwaukee, and, Los
Angeles.

American League victories went to Cleveland, which still has not lost
this season, Baltimore, New York, Boston, Minnesota, Tampa Bay, and,
Texas.

The Cleveland Indians will try to stay the only unbeaten team in the
major leagues tonight when they play the Oakland Athletics on the road.
In a battle of right-handers, Jarret Wright will pitch for the Indians
against knuckleballer Tom Candiotti of the A's.

The vision of first baseman Sean Casey of the Cincinnati Reds is
normal again - three days afer the former NCAA batting champion for the
Richmond Spiders was hit on the right eye by a pitch.

Casey, one of the top hitting prospects for the Cleveland Indians,
was dealt to the Reds a week ago for starting pitcher Dave Burba.
