(301) 757-5897 Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to negotiate a
firm fixed price modification under Contract N00019-97-C-0071 for test
equipment to support production and sustainment of KU-Band Satellite
Communication systems. NAVAIR intends to award this effort to L3
Communications, 620 North 2200 West, Salt Lake City, UT, 84116. In
accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), L3 Communications is the sole
developer, designer, and manufacturer of the KU-Band Satellite
Communications system and as such, is the only firm with the knowledge,
equipment, data and technical expertise to satisfy the Government's
requirement for this test equipment. See Note 22 (0084)
