A friend of mine who worked at CNN back in the Eighties came away from apress conference with President-elect Ronald Reagan stunned by the latter's
incoherence—and even more amazed by the obtuseness of his colleagues,
who either hadn't, or wouldn't let themselves, perceive that anything was wrong.
What's changed? Regarding their dementia, the main difference between the
Gipper and the Groper is that Reagan, a seasoned trouper, seemed to be on
the ball much of the time, as his cognitive decline was not as far-advanced
as Biden's obviously is. As for the press, it's hard to see much difference
between then and now, except that, back then, all the corporate media, both
right and "left," refused to notice that the emperor had very little brain,
whereas right now it's just the "liberal media" that's blind to Biden's mental
incapacity, while it's the right that's (rightly) noting it.
How can they keep this up? It's easy to smear Tara Reade, or black her out—
"our free press" works that kind of magic on all sorts of people, all the time.
But, unless Biden has a brain transplant (or Bill Gates can finance the
emergency creation of a smooth-talking Biden hologram), his debility will
be impossible to hide, making Trump sound ever more coherent—even
eloquent—and "in command."
And what then? Would they force Hillary into the race, or Michelle Obama,
if she's ready for her close-up? Or will it be one (or two) of those governors
who've been impersonating Mussolini in the ongoing "war on the coronavirus"?
All we can for sure is that whatever finally happens won't be good.

p.s. Do Bernie and AOC still plan to campaign for this gibbering wreck?
Biden struggles badly during "virtual roundtable" as gaffes continue to pile up

Presumptive 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden held a "virtual roundtable" Thursday afternoon where he again struggled badly to communicate as his verbal gaffes continue to pile up.
Click on the link for the rest, including the video.
Biden said at the beginning of the event:
"We're ... in the middle of a pandemic that has cost us more than 85,000 jobs as of today. Lives of millions of people. Millions of people. Millions of jobs. You know, and we're in a position where, you know we just got new unemployment insurance, this morning, uh, numbers — 36.5 million claims since this crisis began."
President Trump continues to poke at Biden over his gaffes and suggest that he is mentally unfit for office. On Thursday the president said, "Joe has absolutely no idea what's happening," and, "He doesn't know he's alive."
