How is SMT different?? Isn't SMT almost like a Digg for sub-domains?
I'm sure i must be missing something.

Thanks Neo - they are a bit similar, but have more differences. SMT is
open source, Digg is not. You can't install Digg on your own site and
domain. You can install SMT on any PHP web server and resolve any
domain to it. You can add features to the SMT, you can't with Digg.
SMT lets you integrate stories, comments, votes and automated
materials into your site from the wider NewsCloud.com community and
other SMT sites for any topic. Digg is a standalone site.

SMT is more like Pligg than Digg - but still much more than Pligg.

Yep, right after this, i went poking around Pligg and Digg. I'm not
sure but it also seems that only SMT can run on multiple sub-domains
while both Digg and Pligg are limited to the main domain. Please
confirm. Would love to see a comparison of SMT v/s Digg(Pligg and the
rest)

I'm starting to install SMT on my own server btw. Will write out and
post pics of the "How to Install SMT"

Waiting for you to open up more clouds :)

Neo, the SMT is designed to run a large number of subdomains with a
single codebase installation. This is pretty cool. And again Digg
isn't open source - so you won't be able to use their code for your
site anyway.
