Question marks instead of text

People,

Firstly: I love newsboat! - thanks so much to all the people who contributed to its development.

I have been using NB for quite a while now but have not come across this problem before - for the first time for one particular YT RSS feed, I am getting questions marks ie:

https://youtube.com/feeds/videos.xml?channel_id=UC8kyQJ06HjEW5kjQSNm2Y1g "Geopolitical Economy Report"

I presume it is a font / locale issue but starting NB with this did not help:

LC_CTYPE=en_US.utf8 newsboat

Any suggestions appreciated!

I have added that feed to ~/.newsboat/url, everything works fine (i.e.
I see a lot of Chinese characters).

newsboat 2.21.0
rxvt-unicode 9.30-2

I believe choosing a terminal emulator that is suited for CJK characters
(I use rxvt-unicode) will solve your problem.

Oh OK, I can look at that - but now I think that won't solve my problem - I can't read the Chinese characters anyway!  So I guess it comes down to contacting the creator to get them to fix their RSS feed?

You got the wrong channel then, the videos are *all* in Chinese!

Ah! - you are correct - I just grabbed the first one I found in the HTML source thinking there would be only one ID . . doh!
