Hi.

First, thank you very much for keeping newsboat so great!  I started using it on  Termux on my  Androids, then in Termux on Chromebook, then in  whatever Linux is the VM in Crostini in chromeos, then Linux Mint. 

I want to install newsboat on my new linux mint (22.2) but it's not listed in the apt repo. Would it be foolish to download the .deb file from an older version and try that?

Also, I tried running the snap offering and it wouldnt run.

Please advise

I am not a developer, just a user.

Since the problem seems to be the system upgrading from catch2 to v3 [1], I
would pick a later version (patched), not an earlier version.

I try to avoid installing packages not from repositories, I prefer to
compile them myself. Alas I see newsboat now needs Rust, so you might
want to use docker.

never mind because I figured out how to download a .deb file from another Ubuntu repo and I installed newsboat from that
