Feed not refreshing

Hello newsbeuter users,
I have a problem with a feed [1]; specifically: when I add it to my
url file and launch newsbeuter, newsbeuter correctly fetches the feed
items, but when after a few days I relaunch newsbeuter, new items are
not fetched.

I would like to send their webmaster an email so they can correct what
is broken, but I don't know exactly what makes newsbeuter choke. I
checked the feed with feedvalidator [2] but I don't see any particular
warning that is related to my symptoms.
The newsbeuter version I am using is 2.8.

If you have any info which could help to shed some light on the matter
please share. Also, if you could test the feed on your newsbeuter
(especially if you have a newer version than me), I'd appreciate

I suspect that lack of <guid> elements is the cause, but I'm not sure.

I'm currently testing it with the version built from Git HEAD. Tomorrow,
when new item is due, I'll look into it further and try to pinpoint the
cause of the problem.

Hi,

It turned out to be a problem with their HTTP server. It thinks that the
document was last modified on February 20th, 2016. Newsbeuter remembers
that and asks for documents newer than this date. Since the date never
changes, server responds that the document wasn't modified.

Everything works on first reload because Newsbeuter doesn't yet know
when the document was modified last, so it doesn't include a condition
in the request and thus gets the whole document.

While this is not Newsbeuter's problem per se, I've submitted an
issue[1] to remind me of it as it makes quite a lot of sense to provide
a remedy for it.
