Online Letter 228 25 June 2025 Dear Online Friend(s), One Mr. Michael Achary, a Carpenter from Hubli, Karnataka, joined the Blessing Youth Mission (BYM) as a fulltime Missionary in 1977 and worked in Karnataka, Tamilnadu and Rajasthan until he resigned in 1991. He had hardly finished his schooling. His commitment was following one of BYM’s Annual Camps, even Blesso 1974, in Thanjavur, in which the theme on which I preached on those three days was “Power.” He testified, “I returned from the Camp with fire shut up in my bones. I became zealous to do something significant for God!” He launched the “Divine Deliverance Ministry” (DDM) in 1996, recognizing the special anointing on him for delivering folks from spiritual and physiological bondages. Ultimately this became a Church, known as DDM Church. I had the privilege of preaching at his wedding. God blessed him and Sushila with two daughters and a son. Though he left BYM when I was its Founder Leader, we never lost our friendship. He would always refer to me as the founding father for his ministry. His Church ministry drew large crowds, both from the Telugu and Kannada communities, and grew into a mega Church. He called me to pray for him on 24 January 2025, his birthday. He was suddenly called Home following a heart attack on the 28th. He was 76. As he died without sufficiently developing the secondliners, his wife and children approached me for help.
