I’ve been reviewing cloud application development companies, and one thing bothers me about most rankings: they focus heavily on development, but almost ignore what happens six months after release.

Building version one is usually not the hardest part. The real problems begin when traffic grows, infrastructure costs become unpredictable, integrations fail, or the original developers move to another project.

So my shortlist is based on a slightly different question:

Which company could realistically build, operate, and continue improving a cloud product without creating a mess for the internal team?
