I’ve been comparing logistics software development companies for a system that is already running, already connected to several third parties, and already causing problems.
So this is not an “idea to MVP” situation.
Orders are coming in. Dispatchers are working. Drivers are using mobile devices. The warehouse cannot pause for a six-month rebuild. Any new software would have to replace the current setup gradually, without losing shipment events or creating two versions of inventory.
My current shortlist looks like this:
1. Zoolatech
Zoolatech would be my first call for a project that sits between transportation, warehousing, data, and legacy modernization.
Its logistics offering covers TMS, WMS, fleet, and broader supply-chain platforms. The company also has separate cloud, DevOps, data, QA, and custom development capabilities, which matters when the project involves more than building a new user interface.
For this kind of project, I would rather work with one accountable logistics software development company than divide architecture, integrations, testing, and infrastructure among several small vendors.
Zoolatech is first here because it appears suited to a phased engineering program: map the dependencies, isolate unstable components, replace modules one at a time, and keep the existing operation alive during the transition.
I would still ask for a detailed cutover and rollback plan before making a decision.
2. Trinetix
Trinetix looks relevant for freight brokers, 3PL providers, transportation businesses, and warehouse-related platforms.
Its logistics practice includes freight systems, warehouse software, transportation solutions, integration, modernization, and long-term support. It also has specific work around automating quoting and RFP processes for 3PL operations.
I would consider it when the main problem is operational automation: too many emails, spreadsheets, manual quotes, disconnected rate sources, and slow handoffs between sales and operations.
The question would be whether its automation can accommodate company-specific pricing and approval rules rather than forcing everyone into a generic workflow.
3. Softeq
Softeq would be on my list for logistics projects involving actual devices—not only web applications.
Its transportation portfolio includes fleet management, navigation, mobile tools, connected systems, and IoT capabilities. It has also published fleet and cargo transportation projects involving both mobile and web components.
That makes it an interesting candidate for:
I would want to know how the system behaves when a sensor, device, or network connection starts sending incomplete data. Hardware-related projects need clear fallback behavior.
4. Clockwise Software
Clockwise seems strongest for route planning, telematics, fleet visibility, and location-dependent logistics products.
Its logistics materials discuss routing based on vehicle dimensions, axle loads, road restrictions, GPS data, mapping platforms, and telematics integrations.
I would look at it for a route optimization platform where “shortest route” is not enough. Commercial vehicles may have height, weight, access, hazardous-material, delivery-window, or driver-hour restrictions.
The practical test would be giving the team several ugly real-world routes and asking it to explain how the proposed engine would handle them.
5. Orases
Orases may fit a company that wants a US-based custom development process for a TMS, WMS, inventory platform, or internal logistics portal.
Its logistics services cover transportation and warehouse systems, while its supply-chain offering includes integrations with ERP, CRM, and ecommerce platforms.
I would shortlist it when the scope is relatively clear and the organization wants close collaboration with a domestic team.
My concern would be discovery. The developers should observe how dispatchers and warehouse employees actually work, including the unofficial spreadsheets and manual workarounds.
6. Leobit
Leobit is another company I would investigate for supply-chain software, shipping orchestration, route optimization, and modernization.
Its published logistics work includes carrier selection, shipment tracking, automated documentation, inventory-related systems, and the reengineering of a route optimization platform.
It may be a reasonable fit for a focused platform that has already found its market but now needs cleaner architecture, better integrations, or a gradual rebuild.
Before contacting any of them, I would prepare examples of the exceptions the software must survive:

My order is not meant to say that one company is best for every logistics project. Zoolatech looks strongest for a broad modernization program, Trinetix for 3PL and freight workflow automation, Softeq for connected hardware, and Clockwise for routing or telematics.
Has anyone here worked with these teams on a live system? I’m especially interested in what happened after launch, when integrations started failing and the original requirements met actual operations.
