I'm trying Gravity 3.0.11, using "news.eternal-september.org" as my news
server, but can only get it to load eternal-september groups.

How do I configure it to load all newsgroups.

Also, I notice that when I read an article, it disappears. I'd like it to
stay...is this possible?

OK. Link 'read all articles' to the particular newsgroup.

Thanks very much. I went there originally, but was looking for something
Gravity specific. The answer was here

"Once you set the news reader to always authenticate, and give it the
correct username/password, the rest of the groups will be allowed..."

I've been using Xnews since the XP days, and still use it on Win7 and
Win10, but it it's not maintained, and therefore has developed quirks
with the newer OSs. I like it for many reasons, one is that when I open
a new thread, I can set it to collapse an open thread so I don't have
long columns of open threads.

We were poor. I never had a pet rock.

Sometimes I think Gordon owns me, rather than the other
way about. It's more a symbiotic partnership, really. ≈:o)
