Netscape Navigator v2.0 World Wide Web Brower which also has a UseNet
newsgroup reader), to click on "Options" at the top of your sreen to
reaveal a pull down menu. Then click on "Show All Newsgroup".
And, depending upon your access, data rate (be it a 14.4k, 28.8k
modem or T1 connection), within several minutes, you will see the entire
list of UseNet macrogrup, folders. One of these folders is called "Alt."
from which thefe are approximately 3153 Alt.* groups.
Doubleclick on the "Alt." folder to reveal the resident newgroups.
Of these groups, I can tell you that a boatload of adult newsgroups are
in the alt.binaries.erotica.*", "alt.binaries.pictures.erotica.+,
"alt.personals.*", "alt.sex.pictures", and "alt.sex.*" neewsgroups
folders. Simply double-click on a folder of choice to reveal that
folder's subset of folders.
You might have already noticed that the above-described, folder,
newsgroup vieweing operation is similar typical Windows folder
subdirectory operations. ;)
And, in closing, if you want to keep the specific newsgroup as a
"subscribed" newsgroup (subscribed means that this group would
automatically be listed in your newsgroup reader upon launching Netscape
or other newsgroup reader application), then perform the following
procedure. Click on that newsgroup once using your right mouse button to
reveal a pull down menu. Then, highlight "subscribe" to select that
newsgroup to be included in your newsgroup reader's start-up, newsgroup
list.
