Please srespond if you can lend any assistance to this situation
I have just encountered. I have used Netscape Edora Lite for
about 2 years and today when downloading some e-mail I got this
message from my system:
"IN MAILBOX HAS A DAMAGED TABLE OF CONTENTS. SHALL I REBUILD
IT?" IF I ANSWERED "YES" I THEN GOT THIS MESSAGE:
APPLICATION ERROR. INTEGER DIVIDE BY -0-" THEN IT CLOSED OUT
ON ME. IF I ANSWERED "NO" ... IT STILL CLOSED OUT ON ME.

WHAT COULD THE PROBLEM POSSSIBLY BE? ANY IDEAS? AM I OVERDUE
FOR UPGRADING MY NETSCAPE LEVEL? ANY ANSWERS ARE MOST
APPRECIATED. THANKS LENN

Eudora (all versions) will sometimes develop problems with the table of
contents when the mail box gets too full. Run SCANDISK from DOS to
retrieve the broken parts of the file into new files (named
FILE0001.CHK, etc) then rebuild your mailboxes with subfolders to keep
the number of messages in any one mail box down to a reasonable level.

Len, It's probably a corrupted file in your inbox. But then I'm not
familiar with Eurdora, and sure don't know anything about Netscape 1.1.

You could try using Windows 3.1 Program Manager and deleting the
files in your Mail/Inbox, see if that helps. Best advice I can give is
to go to...

http://home.netscape.com/download/nav_download.html?navigatorgold3.04

...and download Netscape 3.04. You'll like it a lot better.
