Have you met new people, find a new job, bought a great item, made a
deal you could not otherwise do, or simply had plenty of fun... what
does Internet means to you, today?
Please send me a short e-mail and tell me about your experience in
cyberspace.
You can e-mail in English, French, Italian, Spanish.
Please clearly indicate where are you writing from and whether I have
your permission to mention your name or whether you would rather be
anonimous.
If I get enough material to put together a decent book, all respondants
will be thanked with a copy of the work... I hope it will get pretty
interesting...
Happy surfing, it's great out there!

This is the list of hot things I PERSONALLY did through the Net
· I used to live in Geneva (Switzerland): One day I went to CERN (to
have a look at the Internet) and there I met a cool guy. An handsome
physicist...
· After three weeks he went back to the US so I got on-line, my first
Compuserve account and we started exchanging e-mail
· After a month I moved to the States and one year later we got married
· My husband did all his PhD thesis via Internet accessing a computer in
another National Laboratory
· After five years of lost contact his undergraduate years best friend
was search-engined and promptly retrieved via Alta Vista: contacted by
e-mail he was our best man at the wedding
· We found a lot in California while in Columbus, Ohio and bought it six
months later when we moved
· When a distressed friend called with anguish because a young nephew
was not sending news from Taiwan I sent e-mail to the US representative
there and in 10 hours I got a reply and she was reassured that nothing
dangerous was going on
· I read Italian newspaper everyday on the Net... and still get mad at
the fact that very few European are using e-mail.
Can't read the message so I'll respond to the title.
The Television gets much less use.
