I am seeking recommendations for books on NNTP. The level I'm happy
with is exemplified by Comer's three volumes _Internetworking with
TCP/IP_, but he doesn't mention NNTP. I'd especially like to see some
functioning (but simple, no bells and whistles necessary) code.

TIA

Hi Frederick,

I cannot remember having seen any books on NNTP. Even O'Reilly does not
seem to have one.

Have you looked at the INN source code? It is available at
<URL:ftp://ftp.isc.org/isc/inn/>.

Thanks, I'll look into it.

Managing Usenet

The book is out of print, but you might be able to find a used copy.

For further advice, I suggest asking in <news:news.software.nntp>.

Many thanks and sorry for the terribly long delay in replying.
