I am very new to the internet.I would like to contact newsgroups in the
Netherlands. Could anyone tell me the procedure since I cant find any
listing in the netscape newsgroups. I have looked under NL. Perhaps via
an e-mail address?

Er zijn nieuwsgroepen in nederland. Bijvoorbeeld nl.news, nlnet.news,
euronet.news. Waarschijnlijk biedt de newsserver van jou provider
deze groepen niet. Via jou netscape programma kan je waarschijnlijk
de newsserver van euronet bereiken: news.euro.net

bye.

Hello Karl and Erna

I don't really know any dutch newsgroups, I'am always looking somewhere
else in the world, but here is a internet welcome to you from the
netherlands.

Greetings, Tom.

I suggest you use one of the search programs covering the newsgroups.
That way, you can directly find the groups that are dedicated to the
topics of your interest.

At http://www.access.ch/oblum/search you find the search forms of four
popular search engines covering the newsgroups; just click on "Search
the Newsgroups".

This site also offers you forms to search the WorldWide Web, Gopher,
Software Archives and other FTP-sites, along with lots of information
regarding the different parts of the Internet. You can also search for
e-Mail addresses.

If you are looking for a comprehensive list of all newsgroups, you may
use the command "Options/Show All Newsgroups" (or the appropriate
command of your news client, if you are not using Netscape 2.0);
however, this might take some time, since there are about 20'000
newsgroups out there.
