and its implementations. ABC is easy to learn (an hour or so for
someone who has already programmed), yet easy to use.
Originally intended as a language for beginners, it has evolved
into a powerful tool for beginners and experts alike.
Features of the language include:
* a powerful collection of only 5 data types that can easily be
combined
* strong typing, yet without declarations
* no limitations (such as max int), apart from sheer exhaustion
of memory
* refinements to support top-down programming
* nesting by indentation
* programs typically one fourth or one fifth the size of the
equivalent Pascal or C
Some features of the environment:
* no need for files: procedures and functions and global
variables remain after logging out
* one consistent face is shown to the user at all times, whether
executing commands, editing, or entering input to a program
* general undo mechanism

Purpose: All aspects of acid jazz and related musics. Although the
term itself, acid jazz, is confining and somewhat arbitrary, it is
useful in its shortness and recognizablity. However, this list
talks about everything from 70s dancefloor jazz and funk to rap
with jazz flavor to soul to etc. Terms like jazzflow, blue funk,
new groove, schmoove grooves and even "post-digital-dance-fusion"
are used to describe the type of music this list discusses. For
a definitive feel for the type of music that concerns us, check out
Rebirth of Cool on 4th and B'way. Although this is not strictly
acid jazz, nor is the list; also, this does not necessarily fully
show the scope of the list. Finally, some of the most popular
bands on the list, in no order: Brand New Heavies, Incognito,
Jamiroquai, United Future Organization. (Please note these change

Alan Watts (1915-1973) was a philosopher, writer, and speaker. He

having emphysema and other health disorders related to A1AD.
Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency (A1AD) is a rare hereditary
condition characterized by a lack of Alpha-1 proteinase inhibitor.
Depending on the extent of the deficiency and other variables,
A1AD may result in damages to the lungs, including slowly
progressive, severe emphysema affecting the lower lungs.
A1AD, in rare cases, is the cause of liver cirrhosis in children,
or skin disease (panniculitis).
