Below is a specific example of why net.pedophiles is necessary.
Children need to be protected and Megan's law being overturned
is probably the reason this poor child is missing.

There needs to be a forum to expose pedophiles to the world so
that parents can better protect their children from "that nice
man down the street".

The problem is a seriously one of privacy, double jeopardy, possible
revenge against the ex-cons, etc...

Vote to increase prison terms, mandatory counseling, castration, etc...

Why does this thread sound like it was started by John Grubor?

Am I wrong to believe that you are suffering from "paranoia"?

I read and re-read the news item and from what I read I found a story
of a missing boy and a missing envelope alleged to cantain about
$200.00.

Nowhere in the item was it reported that he was definitely seen in the
company of a possible "pedophile".

To assume he was taken away by a "pedophile" is a large assumption, in
this case. Kids of his age have been known to leave home areas when
they accumulate large sums of money. They regret it and return home and
confess they made a mistake. It id highly probable that he was taken by
fellow age kids, tied up, and his money stolen.

The police did not infer they were seeking to apprehend a felon for
his abductor and until there is far more evidence apparent than has
already been shown it is not right to assume a parents worst case
scenario.

Pedophiles are a danger to all kids but to blame every missing kid on
the pedophiles is taking "paranoia" to the outer limits. I am not
defending pedophiles but I do feel we need more evidence before we
launch a "vigilante' call every time some one is missing.0

Just my opinion, nobody asked.

Because it was? Grubor is behind the net.pedophiles suggestion, if he
didn't actually make it himself.

The problem with the concept of net.pedophiles is that it is creating
groups which are designed for libel. There are two possibilities.

1) Wild, unconfirmed accusations would be given some semblance of
verity simply because of the group name, so that innocent people would
have their reputations smeared.

2) The entire hierarchy becomes a big joke, and the term
"pedophile" would lose its meaning, as it is abused by kooks applying
it to anyone who disagrees with them.

I quote John Grubor:
"Remember, anyone who disagrees with us in this is a
...pedophile" [sentence trimmed, but meaning not changed]

Grubor makes it quite obvious that he uses the term as a weapon.

Nah, Flake-fluffy. He's missing because he foolishly flashed $200.

Momma Nature looks upon stupidity as a serious crime, and often-times
exacts a heavy price.

This is BULLSHIT!

EVERYONE knows that JOHN GRUBOR is the #1 pedophile in the tri-state
area. He is more queer than a three dollar bill.

Won't it be great when all the world is using usenet, so that

information on pedophiles can be spread across the country, and we can
stop such sick people? I look forward to such a universal and
unifying system.
