The Muslims did not seem to feel so, and it was neither presented to
the Muslim as such, nor presented by the Muslims as such.

If the case had been as you seem to think, then the voter turnout
would have been much greater than the 81 in favour. There are more
than 81 people on the net who feel that soc.religion.islam.ahmadiyya
is an inappropriate name for a newsgroup.
