FUTURECASTS online magazine:

In its January, 2002 issue, FUTURECASTS online magazine - at
www.futurecasts.com - presents its annual review of its 21st century
forecasts. After a year that accentuated all the negative elements in its
forecasts for this century - a year in which the United States has again
been attacked by those who hate freedom and liberty - FUTURECASTS finds that
trends still favor its substantially positive outlooks.

Also in the January issue, FUTURECASTS presents a Book Review:
Enriquez: "As the Future Catches You." This is a fine primer on the current
status of the revolution in information technology, genomics, and related
technologies. It provides detail and substance for the primary but bare
bones FUTURECASTS assumption about the extensive impacts of accelerating
technological advance on 21st century developments.
*
In the February, 2002 issue, FUTURECASTS will present its 2002 Economic
Outlook. Also presented will be a Book Review: Nye, "The Paradox of
American Power," the third solid analytical work from Harvard presented in
this current four month period. This book lays out a logical intellectual
framework for the development of effective foreign policy in the post Cold
War world, and provides an illuminating review of the factors, possibilities
and limitations affecting the foreign policy of the United States.
