Your question is a little puzzling. There are no state coordinators for
domain names. Internic controls all domain names. Unless, of course,
you have a server setup there in Maryland that controls a block of
names. I doubt it, but I could be wrong. In any case, if you were
linked through such a server, you would probably already know it.

Uh, no. The Internic delegates many domains to regional organizations.
For example, the Internic does _not_ control *.ca. Whether there's
a .ma.us organization is a good question.

In Canada, there are <province>.ca subdomains, but they're all controlled
by the Canadian .ca domain registrar I believe.

I don't know how .us is organized.

However, this person might be confused with the UUCP maps...

The .us domain appears to be managed by the people at isi.edu. Send a
message to us-d...@isi.edu.

That would be "md.us". This is part of the ".US" domain, contact info
for which is:

----------
Domain Name: US

Administrative Contact, Technical Contact, Zone Contact:
Cooper, Ann Westine (AMW) us-d...@ISI.EDU
(310) 822-1511
----------

CL> However, this person might be confused with the UUCP maps...

And the contact info for the MD UUCP maps is:

----------
# send maps to usa-[dc|de|md|nj|ny|va|wv]@rutgers.edu
----------

Sending to hostm...@admii.arl.mil (Army Res. Lab, Aberdeen MD)
is preferable to sending to administrator of .us, since ADMII.ARL.MIL
is delegated authority over .md.us by .us.
