Dave,

Every reader can create a special key for list reading purpose, of
course with passphrases. The addresses in keys can be arbitrary, like
snow...@sodomy.org.

Then we can exchange keys so that everyone has everyone's secret key
(but NOT the passphrases).

I see no way how readers can be identified unless they themselves
disclose which passphrase they know.

``Ah, officer, I have these secret keys all right, but I have no
access to the passphrases...''
