First, let me forwarn you, there is nothing humorous about this post.

To: ask...@microsoft.com

Bill Gates, otherwise known widely as today's anti-christ,

Considering your recent announcement that you are donating so much money
(100 Billion to be exact) to critical issues our civilization needs
addressed
- Is this just your biggest act of duplictiousness yet still to come? Are
you
just trying to only parlay that you are some kind of kind and generous man?
Is this anohter act of deception - your greatest Poker hand played against
all of humanity?

I have too read the Population Bomb by Robert Erlich early in my childhood
and it has scared the shit right out of me - with the world we inevitably
face - with
populations of people all over growing out of control - but you, even
despite your riches,
are the last man I expected and would even want to address that issue. Do
you
realize that your announcement may forstall other people and organziations
from
contributing to the problem's resolution because they will expect you to do
it with
all your financial might - effectively taking the wind out of their sails.

To me, you have been nothing but a master manipulator, a prater, a
charleton,
- all your life...

{
Charlatan \Char"la*tan\, n. [F. charlatan, fr. It. ciarlatano, fr. ciarlare to chartter, prate; of imitative origin; cf. It. zirlare to whistle like a thrush.] One who prates much in his own favor, and makes unwarrantable pretensions; a quack; an impostor; an empiric; a mountebank.
}

You have had every right to do what you have been able to do however, live the American
dream to its fullest - as most people on the planet have not been as sharp of you to jump on the software industry as early as you have.... but really - SO WHAT! - Do you really have any intergrity or a generous thread in your mind? I very much doubt it.

Are you just hoping to gain acceptable favor in the eyes of everyone from your fans
to your deepist critics during the remaining years of your l
ife? Do you hope this current
hand of yours is just going to buy you a finer reputation in the eyes of
the world for the
rest of your life - less critisism that you will have to deal with? Just
tell me what your
real intention is Mr. Gates. I do demand a direct answer from you.

So my question to you is - what is your real motive for seemingly being so
generous in your
life at this point? Answer it and I will consider taking you at face value.

Do you finally realize now that you are just human and no better than any
other person who
was granted life on this planet or do you think you can bluff this whole
thing?

Let me tell you this... because of your shameful monopolistic past, I will
be reading the
reports in the future - and I really want to see this charitable
contribution happen.

I question why you just don't donate billions right now - when it can have
the strongest
imapact on curing disease and limiting the population explosion; nipping it
in the butt as early as possible.

Why don't you just consider replying and stating your intentions to me just
one more
time for the record.

I am not easily fooled by you Mr. Gates! Your name adding up to 666 may be
of
no cruel coincidence to you at all. We all live in a deeply sickening
world, and I would
rather not continue to see you profit from it.

Regards,
Eric Rainbolt

Two of Eric's Favorite quotes:

The idea that Bill Gates has appeared like a knight in shining armour to
lead all customers out of a mire of technological chaos neatly ignores the
fact that it was he who, by peddling second-rate technology, led them into
it in the first place.

hostile word: everyone you meet is your mirror." - Ken Keyes, Jr.

This letter is about guaranteeing and protecting goodness in the world. If
you still
question the motives of Bill Gates, please past this on to those who would
also
be inclined to doubt him after his track record of having selfishly
monopolisitic
intentions all his life prior to his latest announcement.

The truth is that he treasures his pile of money as if were a part of him -
and he knows
he grows bigger by being super sneaky and duplicitous in every move he
makes.
Want to know a little embryonic history of Bill Gates? He was a nerd who
was often
picked on because of his ungenerous nature; and sadly he couldn't even offer
good looks.
I guess he just gave up on the being a nice person on the indide too.

So he *programmed* himself further by playing poker almost every night
during his two
years at Harvard. I don't think he has changed - I don't think he can - not
even after a reboot! How can he fool the whole world into thinking he is
the most
kind hearted man that ever has been? He has only raked in his immense
wealth by
fooling as many people along the way as he possibly could - esp into using
his
operating system(s) and buggy applications, making people feel they had to
repurchase
them many times along the way. He never took the blame for providing
frustrating software,
never had any guilt; yet he knew from the start that this was the master
mechanim - the
master poker table to rake in as much as he could! - And people respect him
for that?
Business people especially? That shows that he profits off the greed of
others - he is the idol of everything the bible urges us not to be. Has
this all been so hard to see for everybody?

I happen to think you are too self rightous for your
own good and if not for your lack of knowledge I would
hazard to say your name is Steve Jobs still holding a
grudge. Let me give you a chance to reply. Do you actually
know Bill Gates personally? Have you ever sat down to
dinner with him, spoken candidly about issues such as
business ethics, morality, or spirituality? I haven't,
therefore I could neither defend him nor chastise him.
What have you contributed to the well-fare of society
that you can fault another man for his alleged insincere
donation. If you think that posting this counts as your
contribution to public awareness you are dead wrong. It
rivals a political smear campaign and there is no morality
or public good in anything of the sort. I am not religious
but I do believe in the simple ideas conveyed in most
religious teachings, so I sign off with...
