The Board is now officially seeking applications for membership

This is an official communication from the Big-8 Management Board,
Cross-posted to news.announce.newgroups and news.groups with followups
to news.groups.

One of the Big-8 Board's members has chosen not to seek reelection
for the term starting October 1, 2015. The Board is now accepting
applications for membership.

- Applications will be accepted until Friday, September 18th, 2015.

- Applications should be submitted via email to bo...@big-8.org.

b8...@googlegroups.com)

- The identities of applicants will not be published without their
consent.

- The results of the selection process will be announced on or before
October 1st, 2015.

- Terms of board members are staggered, with approximately 1/3 of
members' terms expiring on April and October 1 of each year (see
<http://www.big-8.org/articles/b/o/a/Board_Membership_Policy.html>
for more information).

Newly appointed members' terms will expire on the April/October 1
closest to but not exceeding 18 months after their appointment.
Terms of the other members will be adjusted as necessary to keep a
relatively even distribution of expiration dates.
