There was 1 abstain.
For group passage, YES votes must be at least 2/3 of all valid (YES and NO)

There is a five day discussion period after these results are posted. If no
serious allegations of voting irregularities are raised, the moderator of

RATIONALE: comp.sys.mac.oop.powerplant
The CodeWarrior environment is growing in popularity, as is its object-
oriented development framework, PowerPlant. While the CodeWarrior
environment has its own newsgroup, there is a need for an independent
newsgroup for the discussion of PowerPlant. This is becoming more
important as Metrowerks adds support for other environments to
CodeWarrior and the PowerPlant traffic in the CodeWarrior newsgroup is
harder to separate from other traffic. The proposed group would parallel
the similar compiler- independent groups for MacApp and TCL.
There is currently an e-mail list for handling PowerPlant questions
<powerplant...@petrified.cic.net>. Members of the group feel
that by porting this mailing list into a newsgroup, a wider group of
people would be able to participate and it would be easier to monitor
the discussion.
This CFV favors this option because: 1) it parallels similar groups
that exists for MacApp and TCL 2) it would permit a mailing list and
newsgroup link dedicated solely to
PowerPlant
CHARTER: comp.sys.mac.oop.powerplant
comp.sys.mac.oop.powerplant is an unmoderated newsgroup for discussion
of Metrowerks PowerPlant. Topics for discussion include technical
questions about the use of PowerPlant, reports of problems or bugs,
sample code excerpts, suggestions for the future of PowerPlant, and
discussions about the design and use of object-oriented frameworks.
Since there are separate groups for Metrowerks compilers and for
general mac programming, posts on those subjects should go into those
other newsgroups.
Advertising is prohibited in this newsgroup; advertisements may be
submitted to comp.sys.mac.programmer.info for consideration.
Announcements should be given sparingly and limited to items of
specific interest to PowerPlant users (such as new releases or bug
fixes for PowerPlant code or tools).
This newsgroup would not be sponsored or specifically monitored by
Metrowerks (although we hope for their participation). Therefore any
serious bug reports, suggestions, or other should be forwarded to
Metrowerks directly.
