Hi,

NoCeM notices are usually sent to alt.nocem.misc and/or news.lists.filters
but I can also see two issuers in de.admin.net-abuse.announce (for de.* NoCeM notices).
And another one in nl.internet.misbruik.rapport but he also crossposts to news.lists.filters.

Do you know whether there are other newsgroups where NoCeM notices are posted to?

Maybe at least de.admin.net-abuse.announce should be fed to scripts which handle
NoCeM notices, as well as the two usual alt.nocem.misc and news.lists.filters...

The postings in nl.internet.misbruik.rapport from Adri Verhoef for the
NL hierarchy are meant to be informative to regular readers/usenet
users (together with his third and non-third cancels rapports.) His
NoCem cancels are crossposted with alt.nocem.misc and
news.lists.filters.

The cancels you noticed in de.admin.net-abuse.announce are not shown in
alt.nocem.misc and/or news.lists.filters? Personaly I think that only
alt.nocem.misc and news.lists.filters should be used, otherwise I will
be very hard to keep up to date with the active NoCem cancelsbots for
specific hierarchies...

Hi Michiel,

That's right.

That's also right. It is better not to add more "default" NoCeM newsgroups.
When the scope is limited to a hierarchy, it is better to crosspost it
(a local newsgroup and news.lists.filters).

Alright. My notices are now crossposted to news.lists.filters.

aioe.org issues its nocem messages to "aioe.news.nocem" - but I believe the
messages posted there apply only to groups in its hierarchy ("aioe.*").
These seem to be universally crossposted to "news.lists.filters".

"fj.news.lists.filters" also exists - and may be limited to the "fj.*"
hierarchy. They are posted ONLY to that group; no crossposting. However,
considering its group name, changing the newsfeeds file so it reads
":*news.lists.filters:" (i.e. add a leading asterisk for wildcarding) will
cover it.

There seems to be a group "sfnet.nocem", but no nocem messages are posted
there; just spam.

All of the messages I saw in "alt.nocem.misc" were also crossposted to
"news.lists.filters".
