Why do robomoderators avoid crossposting?

I have been advised that it is unwise for a robomoderator to approve a post
that is crossposted to, say, three newsgroups, then post it to those three.
I believe the problem comes when one of the other newsgroups is robomoderated.
Could someone explain this? I really need to know so as to finish up the
RFC for robomoderating soc.religion.quaker.
Is it O.K. to have a robomoderator that rejects crossposts if the number
of newsgroups is >3, but to crosspost to all newsgroups if <= 3?
