AUTODOWNLOAD SPAM!! Re: WORLD'S MOST IMPORTANT NUMBER - news3.clp [1/1]

This turkey attached something to his spam that automatically
dowloaded itself into my newsreader's default directory!

(three of his messages had these things.

I'm getting nothing from who-is. Anybody else care to
tackle this one. It does go thru uu.net, so I complained
there.

This indicates a severe security problem with your news reader. I'd
recommend looking at getting a different one, or looking over your
configuration and make sure that it isn't a security hole you have
accidentally inserted.

Security problem is right! NewsXpress is what I am using.
I have asked the ISP what the problem was, and in the meantime the
default is set to a floppy. It is supposed to ask before decoding any
UU stuff, but these were something else that had been on that group
before ... some MMF crapola in Word Perfect probably.
