Hello!

I hope, somebody is able to solve my problem.

Somehow, I got listed on the SORBS Dynamic User and Host List (DUHL)
with my server with IP 85.10.195.212
Of course, I want to be delisted ASAP.
I think, I meet all criteria for the self-help delisting
at https://www.dnsbl.nl.sorbs.net/scgi-bin/dulexclusions
but I get only an error:
No acceptable MX records found for aufheim.de.

These are my settings:
I try to delist IP 85.10.195.212 with the domain aufheim.de

The criterias of SORBS are
# MX records are looked up for the domain entered.
# MX records with short TTLs are discarded.
If I check my settings with:
dig aufheim.de MX @ns9.schlundtech.de
--> aufheim.de. 86400 IN MX 10 ld-mohring.de.
I find out, that I have an MX record with a big enough TTL

Also the other criterias are AFAIK fulfilled:
# A records are looked up for each MX record with acceptable TTLs.
# A records with short TTLs are discarded.
dig ld-mohring.de A @ns9.schlundtech.de
--> ld-mohring.de. 86400 IN A 85.10.195.212

# The IP addresses in each A record are resolved to PTR records.
# IP addresses with PTR records that have short TTLs are discarded.
dig -x 85.10.195.212 @ns1.your-server.de PTR
--> 212.195.10.85.in-addr.arpa. 86400 IN PTR ld-mohring.de.

# IP addresses with PTR records without matching A records (in previous
lookups) are discarded.
# Any remaining IP addresses are added to the DUHL exclusions database.

Any help would be appreciated, so that my customers and I can send
emails again.

Bernd

I cannot speak for Matt and he might be able to work this out but part
of the problem could be that 90% of your /24 is comprised of hosts like
85-10-195-xxx.clients.your-server.de In other words, it looks like you
are in a largely dynamic or residential range. This could present a
difficulty for any list administrator who would now have to break up
a /24 listing.

That's because your rDNS is not aufheim.de (or so I surmise):

11/30/05 12:33:17 dns 85.10.195.212
nslookup 85.10.195.212
Canonical name: ld-mohring.de
Addresses:
85.10.195.212

Furthermore, I see you are getting DNS from SCHLUND. That's not a good
business practice (SCHLUND is widely blocked for their pro-spam
operations).

There appears to be something wrong with the *.nl.sorbs.net server... I got the
same error, however when I did the same check on the *.au.sorbs.net server I get:

Checking MX's for aufheim.de...
--> MX 10 [TTL 86400] ld-mohring.de. (Acceptable)

Checking TTLs for host ld-mohring.de....
--> A [TTL 86399] 85.10.195.212 (Acceptable)
Warning: All TTLs should be 1 day or more (86400 seconds)

Checking TTLs for PTR 85.10.195.212[ld-mohring.de.]...
--> PTR [TTL 86400] ld-mohring.de. (Accepted for delisting)

The operation was successful
Added: 85.10.195.212/32 -> ld-mohring.de. [85.10.195.212/32] excluded for
maildomain: aufheim.de

Regards,

Mat
