Hi

If any of the people at backscatterer read this I would really
appreciate a reply. I have inherited a mail server which was sending
backscatter, and we were listed. The problem has been resolved and
tested so we paid for an express delisting. The backscatterer website
said that our delisting was in progress, then after an hour or so, it
shows us as listed again, but the dates etc have not changed... how
can this be?? Our last "offence" was days ago according to
backscatterer. Meanwhile the mail queues with legit messages grow...

Any reply would be appreciated.

Really? Just how many messages is your server sending
with postmaster@ or null sender <>?
That are "legit messages" and not backsctter?

Forget it, it seems we are now delisted. Your website could use some
tweaking guys.

No need to tell them that quality can be improved.
They are proud of what they have, and they refuse to see problems.

Oh i see an issue that also Shmuel told here:
Listings are way to short and Expressdelisting is too cheap.

Unfortunatley i work here - i do not own the company.
Im my personal opinion listees could rott at least a full year in the blocklist
for sending just one NDR to an invalid address here or for a single verify
call.

I will have to discuss with my boss if i can do some improvement to the policy.
If i get his okay then it is possible that Shmuel will find it cool, but you
and other backscatterers might not be happy with the changes :-)

PKB. I have problems with what they are do, but they are minor issues that
do not affect legitimacy. You, OTOH, are spamming. Chanting "Spamming is
what I don't do" does not make the misuse of MAIL as an illicit VRFY any
less abusive.
