I'm the Tech moderator for rec.audio.high-end. Today there was a post
on our group from news.astraweb.com that did not come to us for
processing. The message ID is:
<53563331$0$2916$c3e8da3$7649...@news.astraweb.com>

Does anyone here have a contact for news.astraweb.com that they or I
could email to discuss this issue?

You can try their helpdesk form,

http://helpdesk.astraweb.com/index.php

You don't need to be a member to use the form (I believe).

Seeking archives for uk.* from 1998 and older. Especially interested
in uk.net.news.* and any groups which preceded uk.net.news.* for
hierarchy management (uk.misc? uk.net?).

Looks like the group is not marked as "moderated" on
news.astraweb.com.

Both astraweb and highwinds have the group misconfigured but in
different ways. As Thomas Hochstein said, astraweb apparently does not
have the group configured as moderated. Highwinds appears to have the
group configured as moderated, in that posts by its users are forwarded
for moderation. However, it is showing to its users articles that do
not have the approval header. Proper behavior would be to drop articles
from its peers that are missing the header.

Thanks for the info, I'm in contact with astraweb, hopefully they'll
correct things.

Anyone have contact info for Highwinds?
