making watches. Watches need to be strong, not easy to scratch, and
not easy to discolor or rust, especially for a watch that is well
worn. Several manufacturers have recognized that making a watch out of
titanium is beneficial for those reasons. Titanium allows watch makers
to design watches that are very lightweight, yet are still very rugged
and durable. Titanium also will never change color over time, nor will
it ever corrode or rust. It also doesn't leave a bad color on the skin
after being in contact with skin for many hours. Of course, someone
wearing a watch wants the watch to perform well at work and play, and
titanium allows that.
