It's likely I won't be there this morning. I've got a last-minute interview close to the same time, plus I started some medication this week that is having some troublesome side-effects.

I will volunteer myself to keep on top of our website's content. I need to get back into the swing of posting new blog entries on a weekly basis, and I can take a stab at making sure our calendar and other pages are kept current as well. I would still like to have regular posts (maybe once monthly?) coming from others, too, so the site doesn't look like it's "all Jen all the time." I've solicited a guest post from another writer -- outside of ONI -- to share tips on time management, so we'll have another perspective to offer soon.

As far as ONI's future is concerned, having regular co-working sessions meets what has been my primary need/want for our group. I am still trying to find a way to make the transportation into downtown work for half-days, but I like that ONI has found a centralized home. I may also start heading back to Java Nation and/or to other locations like Kettleman Bagels in SW, and will make announcements to that effect as appropriate in case there are ONI members or curious others who'd like to come along.

I've not worked from Kettleman before. I don't know that it would make a great place for an official co-working gathering, given that the radio overhead is a bit loud and the power outlets aren't plentiful. I may give it a try solo, however, to test it's comfort, the speed and reliability of the broadband, and my own productivity while there.

I think part of the point of yesterday's meeting is that there isn't - currently - a need for an "official" coworking space. Until, and more importantly, IF, people get the energy to organize behind it, there's no official to be had. The best position we have is to keep the .org domain as a placeholder - as Michael described yesterday -- until and if someone has the energy and resources to od more. So I don't think we need to send out emails once a week about where's a good location or who's going, or especially not going. If someone wants to take on getting a more official thing going and getting more people involved, more power to them , though.
