know any noteworthy newlyweds in Oregon?

Friends:

For a possible new series in the newspaper, I'm looking for some pretty special newly married (within the past few years or so) couples. For example, a couple who married and immediately opened their home to foster children; a couple in which the wife just returned from a tour of military duty overseas and brought home a rescued animal with her; a pair of senior citizens who have recently married for the first time; a couple who met while volunteering and spent their honeymoon or vacations building homes with Habitat for Humanity.

I'm sure there are many other examples that would fit the profile!

These couples don't need to reside in Portland, but they do need to be in Oregon (and within about 100 miles of Portland, since we'll have to travel to them).

Know anyone who might be appropriate to cover? Please spread the word, and let me know.
