I'm doing an experiment with Kindle Select. Today (February 9), "Valhalla" is available as a free download from Amazon:

"Valhalla" has already been downloaded over 400 times today, with most new readers coming from the U.S. but also from the UK and Germany. It's broken the 1000 threshold and is currently #589 in the Free Kindle store -- and #9 (yes! single digit!) in Contemporary Fantasy!
Of course, I don't get paid for these free downloads, but this should attract more readers. We'll see if this translates to increased sales down the road.
If you haven't yet picked up a copy of "Valhalla" (and why not? it's only $2.99 normally), here's your chance! It's available as a free download from Amazon until 12midnight PST tonight (Feb. 9). Tell your friends! Tell your bartender! Tell everybody!
