Hi everyone,
Recently I was hired to join the Freret Neighborhood Center's staff as a Community Organizer. This means that I'm finally moving back to New Orleans (SO F'ING EXCITED). That means that I'm looking for a room/apt to rent. I've tried contacting a few folks, but so far it's been no good. If you happen to live in Mid-City, Marigny, Bywater, Irish Channel, Lower Garden District, East Riverside, OR Freret/Milan areas and need a roommate, then please get back to me. Seeing as how I'm going to be broke... I mean a community organizer (lol of sorts), my price range is $250 to $500.
About me: At the advice of a little birdie in September, I decided to stay in Oakland for the craziness that became known as the Oakland Commune a.k.a. Occupy Oakland. Before that I lived in New Orleans and was one of gazillion co-founders of the New Orleans Free School Network. Beyond that I've also worked with the Iron Rail and other projects. My passions are free education, free markets, and food justice.
I love good food, friends, and politics. I'm responsible, clean, and organized, but I love the beauty of chaos every once and a while. I pay bills on time and have been known to throw a couple of ridiculous fiestas every once and a while (when not living in Tulane housing). I'm transitioning to a raw diet of sorts, but I'm not vegan or vegetarian by any means. I'm down with dogs or cats as roommates.
