Free School 101

 

            Met on Tuesday, brainstormed, going to have a power point and handout done by next week. Carmen will put the draft of the handout online in the next few days.

 

Bell Ringing Fundraiser

           

            25^th of October, Carmen wants to make a date for making posters at her house for next week. Tuesday the 16th at 8 pm Carmen’s house. Large pieces of cardboard, paint etc. Costumes? No pressure. Can we decide when we want to go out in the eve by Tuesday?

 

Calendar

 

            Two new classes were proposed: GED tutoring classes at Resurrection after Exoneration, and Free Styling circle!! Rad!! We want to get more addresses of the businesses + community centers. Esther will add them to the internet file. We need to add our info to calendar. Hilary can make it. Esther will print it. Carmen will send them out.

 

Black Flag Football

 

            Mikey and Esther went to the park the other day and agreed that the soccer fields off Harrison Ave. Should we emphasize the Black Flag part more? We need MC/Referee, Salespeople.

 

Fifth Estate Article

Green Project

           

            Called us, asked us some Q’s, esther gave them her number.

 

 

 

Meeting Time

 

            Can we change the meeting time to 6:30pm Tuesdays in November? Yes, says Carmen, Kate, Esther, Hillary.            

 

Field Day for Halloween?

 

            Kate wants to do another field day for the end of October. Saturday the 27^th, at 3, at Washington Square Park. Workshops / activities by Kate, Mikey, others?

 

 

Homework:

 

            Esther: add addresses to list online, print calendars, call Green Project on Monday

 

            Hillary: teacher checkins, make calendar (include info,) investigate 501c3 status including new info, bring powerpoint

 

            Carmen: send calendars, encourage black flag football, poster making, upload handout for freeschool 101.

 

            Kate: Work on field day, email cc collective, talk to workshop facilitators, rework flyer, talk to rubarb, figure out food.
